Bananaless Smoothie

Smoothies are a typical example of something that may seem healthy, but actually are high in sugar
(natural of course, which yes, is better than any other type of sugar)

However, our point is, a lot of smoothies don’t have a great balance of proteins/fats/carbohydrates + are rather high in sugar.

Are you trying to decrease your sugar intake and eat foods that keep you fuller for longer?
this smoothie is all of those things.

Raspberries because all berries have very little sugar content so are a great way to sweeten smoothies without the sugar.
Oats are a perfect mix of simple (instant energy) + complex (low releasing energy) carbohydrates. Giving you a kick when you first consume them but also sustaining energy to last you throughout the morning.
Avocado is full of beautiful fats that are amazing for your skin, body, hair + everything else about you. The fat keeps you filler for longer.
Hemp is the highest plant-base source of protein. It is the most natural protein powder and something we cannot recommend enough to you. If you don’t know much about hemp - click here
Raw Honey is a natural sweetener that has not been heat treated, therefore still has all of its antibacterial + anti inflammatory properties. These are great for wound healing and fighting colds.

raspberry hemp + avo smoothie

Ingredients:
2 cups frozen raspberries

1 cup oat or nut milk 

1/2 ripe avo 

1/2 cup rolled oats 

2 tbsp hemp seeds

1 tbsp honey 

1 tbsp almond butter 


Method:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Eat immediately.
